Tune in to KMUD for Democracy In Action, Monday June 17th at 7pm with host Kaitlin Sopoci-Belknap. Kaitlin’s guest will be Jesse Fruhwirth, a journalist and community organizer working with Peaceful Uprising. They will discuss the plans of the Canadian company, US Oil Sands Inc, to open the first tar sands mine in the U.S. Listen in to learn about the Utah Tar Sands Action Camp soon to be gearing up on the front lines of the effort to stop tar sands mining from gaining a foothold in the U.S.
