10/11 - Onondaga Chief Oren Lyons Lecture at HSU

The Civil Liberties Defense Center (CLDC), Humboldt Chapter, is bringing Onondaga Chief Oren Lyons to HSU on Columbus Day/Indigenous People's Day!

Monday, October 11th - 5:00-8:00pm at the Native Forum (in the BSS building)

Lyons is a founding member of the Indigenous Peoples Conference for the United Nations High Commission for Human Rights and has been a tireless advocate for indigenous rights and sovereignty.

The theme of his talk is Native Sovereignty and the Doctrine of Discovery - 5pm at the Native Forum (in the BSS building). Come early as it will be packed.

There is free dinner after the event at the University Commons near the Kate Buchanan Room too!
