The Access Humboldt Board Development Committee has extended the deadline for applications for the two open elected seats on the Access Humboldt Board of Directors to Tuesday, August 9 at 5:00 PM. The board has fifteen members composed of seven designated, sixelected, and two appointed seats. These two open seats are among the six elected seats and would be for the 2011-2014 terms (two directors are elected every year). This phase of the process, according to our by-laws, designates the Board Development Committee to name two nominees for the ballot ensuring there will be at least two qualifiedcandidates. Please be aware that there is still an optional petition process for being included on the ballot that requires signatures of ten Access Humboldt members. That deadline is in mid-September.
