
Organic Seed Alliance and Garberville Community Farm host field day on September 4
Farmers and gardeners interested in organic seed production have the opportunity to learn important skills and connect with experienced growers next month in Humboldt County.
With support from a USDA Rural Development grant, Organic Seed Alliance, Family Farmers Seed Cooperative, California Cooperative Development Center, and the Garberville Community Farm will host an free organic seed field day in Garberville, CA, on Sunday, September 4th for farmers, gardeners, and other interested members of the community. Registration is not required. The field day will be from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and includes an introduction to:
Garberville Community Farm is located at 934 Sprowl Creek Road. From the North, take Highway 101 to Garberville. Take the second Garberville exit onto Sprowel Creek Road. Make a right onto Sprowel Creek Road. The main entry to the park is on the left hand side of the road and has a sign at the main gate.
From the South, take the Garberville exit off Highway 101. Proceed to the stop sign in the middle of town. Turn left on Sprowel Creek Road. The park is less than one mile from Garberville. The main entrance is on the left hand side of Sprowel Creek Road and has a sign at the main gate.
